The injustice destroys you.<\/span>
On a daily basis\u2026your faith will be tested.<\/span>
Your heart will be wounded….<\/span>
Your soul will be altered.<\/span>
On a weekly basis\u2026you\u2019ll question yourself.<\/span>
You\u2019ll question your strength.<\/span>
You\u2019ll question the world.<\/span>
On a monthly basis\u2026you\u2019ll fall down.<\/span>
You\u2019ll get up.<\/span>
You\u2019ll go on\u2026<\/span>
On a yearly basis\u2026you\u2019ll look back\u2026<\/span>
You\u2019ll see faces\u2026<\/span>
You couldn\u2019t save them.<\/span>
You\u2019ll learn to mourn.<\/span>
To grieve.<\/span>
To sob.<\/span>
You\u2019ll learn to trust a little less.<\/span>
To do a little more.<\/span>
To fight a little harder.<\/span>
You\u2019ll learn to try.<\/span>
To hope.<\/span>
To pray.<\/span>
You\u2019ll learn to fail.<\/span>
To succeed.<\/span>
To accept.<\/span>
You\u2019ll learn when to hold on.<\/span>
When to give up.<\/span>
When to let go.<\/span>
You\u2019ll learn who you are.<\/span>
What you stand for.<\/span>
Why that matters.<\/span>
Then\u2026 at times\u2026 you\u2019ll forget why you matter.<\/span>
You\u2019ll question what you\u2019re doing.<\/span>
You\u2019ll wonder if it\u2019s worth it.<\/span>
But\u2026here\u2019s the good news\u2026 When you forget\u2026<\/span>
When you question\u2026<\/span>
When you wonder\u2026<\/span>
All you have to do\u2026<\/span>
Is take a look around\u2026<\/span>
And you\u2019ll see them.<\/span>
You\u2019ll see their faces.<\/span>
You\u2019ll see their smiles.<\/span>
You\u2019ll feel their love.<\/span>
In their eyes, you\u2019ll see their journeys\u2026<\/span>
You\u2019ll remember their beginnings\u2026<\/span>
You\u2019ll know how far they\u2019ve come\u2026<\/span>
You\u2019ll remember when they didn\u2019t know you\u2026<\/span>
When they didn\u2019t trust you\u2026<\/span>
When they\u2019d given up.<\/span>
You\u2019ll remember how you healed them\u2026<\/span>
How you loved them\u2026<\/span>
How they loved you, too.<\/span>
And as you look back\u2026<\/span>
You\u2019ll want to move forward\u2026<\/span>
For them\u2026 and because of them.<\/span>
In your darkest hours, you\u2019ll look around\u2026<\/span>
To find the differences made\u2026the hope given\u2026and the lives saved\u2026<\/span>
Because you existed.<\/span>
In those moments, when you look into their eyes\u2026every doubt will be erased.<\/span>
Every question will be answered.<\/span>
Every worry will subside.<\/span>
Because in that instant\u2026in each of your hearts\u2026<\/span>
You both share the very same thought: \u201cEvery bit of pain was worth it\u2026for this moment here with you.\u201d<\/span>
And honestly\u2026no matter what else happens\u2026<\/span>
Those moments hold all the strength you need\u2026<\/span>
To keep going.<\/span>
Rescue is pain.<\/span>
Rescue is joy.<\/span>
Rescue is worth it\u2026because they are worth it.<\/span>
And that\u2019s the honest truth.<\/span><\/p>\n
